FREE Woodworking Plans - Get down & dirty with your hands

The blazing summer has finally arrived and the kids are enjoying their vacation. How about you? Have you found any hobbies to keep yourself busy? Have you found something your older children could help you with in quality family time?

I have made a goal! It all started last year when I made thick tie blankets for my children for Christmas. The winters are quite cold and propane is expensive so I thought I would make them new blankets they could cherish that would give extra warmth. The blankets were a hit and they use them every night!

What is my goal? I decided that I'd like to make something by hand for my children each year and have been searching for my next project. I've also been searching for ways to make my own outdoor furniture so that we can enjoy going outside during the evenings when the days have cooled some.

These websites looks like a great start and filled with plans and ideas for your next wood project. I wanted to share it with the crafty readers out there who are also looking for a new project to do! I've never attempted working with wood so we'll see how well this goes! Whether you are a beginner or advanced, there is something for everyone. Please use all safety precautions while working on your project.
