A few Mississippi storm pictures

The intense storms that have hit the south and surrounding areas had spawned several tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. Towns have been wiped out, lives have been lost. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have lost loved ones or your homes.

I only took a few pictures during yesterdays storms. To be honest, I didn't really think about it or would have taken several more. The storms were frightening and the news reports that this was the worst they have witnessed in decades.

I urge those who were not affected to open your hearts to those who are currently suffering from such losses. If you are close enough, they could use food, water, shelter, clothing, rescue efforts, etc. I'm sure they are also taking monetary donations, currently I have no information on where you could donate.

I will be preparing another awareness post regarding weather preparedness. Please, stay safe!!

Damage to our nephew and brother in laws cars from the hail, see hail stones below.

Our nephew is holding 3 large, baseball sized hail stones. He sent this picture to us on Tuesday night. The hail is rapidly melting.

Outside of gas station, here comes another large system...see the green vehicle? It's mine and they are preparing to move it under the awning for protection if hail falls.

Still coming....

Almost here....

Taking shelter inside of the building at the gas station. Mind you, this is around 8:00 in the morning. Radar had picked up 2 tornadoes in this system.

At home now, here comes another serious system. This one has a tornado in it although, we couldn't see one.

Getting closer...

Taking shelter indoors while watching out the windows as it's almost here. The sounds were horrific! Loud roaring and my ears began ringing. This is right before it went over us. I was pacing and didn't take anymore pictures.

The rest of the pictures below were random pictures. Look! Blue sky! The clouds were incredibly beautiful even though they were dangerous and violent.
